Hey all my teacher friends!
You have one more week till the break! I know this it one of the craziest times of year! But you've got this! Use Santa's watching, coal, the naughty list and their elf is taking notes and reporting back as much as you can! I kind of think this is REALLY the only time of year where we can have some leverage!
As it says in my profile I was a kindergarten teacher for 12 years but 3 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Due to this diagnosis and the other things that played out I was not able to teach AND take care of myself. Let's just say I was failing in ALL areas of life!
But I do miss it! I work with my nephew who is in Kindergarten and tutor three kids. I have also found out that I REALLY like creating things for others to use. I mainly make them for tutoring and then they are never used again. So I am putting my ideas out into the universe! Sometimes they will be free but sometimes they won't because I have to get fonts and clip art because that's how you tell if something is good! ; )
I will also provide some insight into why teachers and schools do what they do. When I was teaching they said jump and I said "how high?" Never REALLY questioning the reasoning behind nonsense words and oral reading fluency. But over the past little bit I have found out great information and it REALLY makes sense why it is important! I know this is a VERY stressful time so I have included 2 freebies!
